Burglary results in three arrests, recovery of stolen vehicle

A home burglary near Bauxite led Saline County sheriff’s deputies to the arrest of two Benton residents and an Ohio man last week in connection with the recovery of a stolen car from Kentucky and possible credit card fraud. Deputies responded to a call of a residential burglary at 10135 Perry Road near Bauxite on Thursday.
A witness told authorities that Tamera Moore, 27, of Benton and two white men broke into the home and said that all three made two trips to their vehicle with items taken from the home and then left the residence in a silver car. The witness gave police the license plate number from the vehicle, provided physical descriptions of all suspects, and gave further information that Moore was staying at the Cedarwood Inn in Benton.
As deputies arrived at the Cedarwood Inn to try to talk with Moore, the described vehicle pulled into the parking lot carrying all three suspects — Moore and Ramsey Latham, 35, both listed as residents of Cedarwood Inn, and Lonnie Miracle, 30, of Cincinnati. When police checked the license plate number of the car, they discovered it had been reported as stolen in Kentucky.
Detectives searched the vehicle and found all items missing from the residential burglary. The items recovered included approximately 250 CDs and DVDs, a large amount of jewelry, two pistols, numerous tools and pieces of electronic equipment and collector coins. The approximate value of the items recovered was $3,000.
The vehicle was impounded and Kentucky authorities were contacted.
Officials discovered that Miracle was wanted in Kentucky on two warrants for theft of a vehicle and fraudulent use of a credit card. Kentucky authorities have told Saline County officials that they will extradite Miracle on their charges. Latham and Miracle each have extensive criminal histories for burglary and have previously served time in prison.
All three suspects were booked into the Saline County jail on charges of residential burglary and theft of property, both Class B felonies. Latham and Miracle also were charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, a Class C felony.
All three suspects appeared at a bond hearing in Benton District Court on Friday before Judge Mike Robinson, who set Latham’s bail at $10,000 bail, Miracle’s at $20,000 and Moore’s at $5,000. Saline County officials discovered during preparation for the hearing that Moore also is wanted on charges in Tennessee.
A news release from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation is continuing. More arrests are anticipated in the case, the release stated.
